Skill Building: Moonbeam Scarves w/ Rachael

Description
Learn crochet shaping techniques while making a tapered crescent shaped scarf. There are two size options available, so choose your own adventure! The smaller Moonbeam Mini or larger Moonbeam Scarf.
In this two week class, students will learn increasing and decreasing (dc2tog) stitches. Students should already be comfortable working double crochet stitches.
Please note that there will be some homework between classes.
Ages 18+
Skill level: Advanced Beginner
Advanced Beginner classes are designed as “next step” classes to build basic skills. Crochet students must have taken Crochet 101 and/or be comfortable with chaining, single and double crochet.

Class prep:
- Purchase and wind yarn prior to class.
Supplies (materials are not included in class cost, but students will receive 15% discount on class supplies purchased at Sew to Speak):
- Malabrigo Rios, or any similar worsted weight yarn. 1 skein (210 yds) for the smaller size, 2 skeins (420 yds) for the larger scarf.
- Hook: US F / 3.75mm
- 1 locking stitch marker or safety pin.
- Darning needle, scissors, measuring tape.
- Pattern: Moonbeam Scarves by Wool Intentions, is included in the cost of this class.
