The Quarry Tote makes the perfect handbag, crossbody bag, or project bag. Learn how to install a top recessed zipper and how to sew a round-bottom bag. 

Ages 18+

Class Level: Intermediate 

Intermediate level classes are suited for makers who have made several projects on their own, and are feeling independent in their skills. Some classes may include pre-class prep to be completed on your own. Sewing students must be comfortable threading their machines, following a seam allowance, changing presser feet, and troubleshooting minor machine issues.

Supplies (Not included in the class, but students will receive a 15% discount on class supplies purchased at Sew to Speak):

• Quarry Tote pattern 
• Fabric and zipper (please refer to pattern for fabric and zipper requirements based on the size of bag you will be making)
• 2 ½ yds 1” webbing (yardage is to make both short handles and crossbody strap)
• 1” hardware kit (2 D rings, 2 swivel clasps. 1 strap slider)
• Optional cord or leather pulls for zipper pulls
• Thread to match
• General sewing supplies (scissors, replacement machine needles, clips)
