Description
(Have you been wanting to make a knit garment, but are scared to do it alone? Never fear – Haley is here to walk you through using a serger to create this cozy sweatshirt! During this class we will dive into the joys of using a serger to create garments as well as using our regular machines to do finishing on knits.
Don’t have a serger? No problem! We have some available for you to use during class.
We will be omitting the buttons on this to keep it more approachable for those new to sewing knits.
Ages 18+
Skill Level: Intermediate
Intermediate level classes are suited for makers who have taken 2-3 Advanced Beginner classes in their craft, and/or have made several projects on their own, and are feeling independent in their skills. Some classes may include pre-class prep to be completed on your own. Sewing students must be comfortable threading their machines, following a seam allowance, changing presser feet, and troubleshooting minor machine issues.

- Please purchase and wash your fabric before class.
Supplies (not included but students will receive a 15% discount on all supplies purchased at Sew to Speak):
- Marlo Sweater – True Bias, pattern available in the shop
- Please note: the Marlo Sweater pattern sizes 0-18 is available in store. Sizes 14-30 is now PDF only, available here. If using the PDF pattern, please print and have your pattern ready to go for class. If you're in need of printing services, contact the shop for our recommendation.
