In this beginner-friendly class, Nat will teach you how to work with leather to create your own wallet. You will learn the basics of cutting, dyeing, sewing and finishing a leather piece.
No prior sewing experience necessary!
Ages 18+
Skill Level: True Beginner
No skills needed! True Beginner classes are great for beginners with no previous experience or for those who’d like to refresh their skills.

Supplies (not included, but students will receive a 15% discount on class supplies purchased at Sew to Speak):
Students will need to bring the following supplies:
- Rotary cutter
- Exacto knife (Please note that this item is not available at Sew To Speak, but is likely available at your local hardware store.)
All other tools and supplies are included.
If you would like to make another one at home you will need the following supplies:
- Veg tan leather (4”x8”)
- Button stud (1)
- Large leather needle
- Nylon thread
- Leather dye
- Sponges
- Rawhide or poly hammer
- 2 or 4 Leather diamond stitching chisel
- Wooden Burnishing tool
- Tokonole burnishing gum
- Sandpaper 600 grit
- Lighter
