Kids Crochet 101: Melty the S'more with Hannah

Description
In this class, kids (ages 9-16) will learn the fundamentals of crochet in order to make their own soft s'more! In the first session, we will learn how to make a single crochet stitch and rows in order to make squares for graham crackers and chocolate. In the second session, we will make the marshmallow in a rectangle and sew the pieces together.

No skills needed! These are great classes for beginners with no previous experience or for those who’d like to refresh their skills.

Class Prep:
- Please purchase materials prior to class.
Supplies (not included, but supplies purchased at Sew To Speak will receive a 15% discount):
- 54 yards/25 grams of worsted weight yarn for three colors (for the s'more: white, dark brown, and light brown) Students can bring their own yarn or purchase yarn at the shop.
- Size (H) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Poly fil stuffing
- Optional: safety eyes will be provided or students can use yarn to sew eyes or other facial features
