Description
Join Morgan to knit Donna Smith’s Baa-ble hat, an intermediate step into two-stranded colorwork. In this class, students will learn to read a color chart and work color changes in the round, and can use these skills to create a whole herd of sheep-themed, and other, projects.
In this class students will learn:
- knitting 2x2 ribbing in the round.
- how to change needle sizes while working in the round.
- how to read a colorwork chart.
- how to hold two different yarns at once.
- how to decrease stitches in the round in-pattern.
- Magic Loop or Double Pointed Needles technique for small circumference knitting.
*Students will have knitting homework to continue/complete between sessions in order to be prepared for the subsequent class*
This class takes place over three 2-hour sessions
Ages: 18+
Class Level: Intermediate
Intermediate level classes are suited for makers who have taken 2-3 Advanced Beginner classes in their craft, and/or have made several projects on their own, and are feeling independent in their skills. Some classes may include pre-class prep to be completed on your own. Knitting & Crochet students must be comfortable with basic stitches within their crafts, reading simple patterns, and troubleshooting simple mistakes.
