Fit Adjustment Clinic w/ Nat

Learn how to make your sewing patterns fit you - before you even start sewing. In this class, skilled patternmaker and sewing instructor Nat Della Selva will guide you through essential fitting techniques, including:
- Choosing the correct size
- Understanding ease
- Performing a Full Bust Adjustment (FBA) or Small Bust Adjustment (SBA)
- Moving or reshaping darts
- Adjusting rise and length
Ages 18+
Skill Level: Intermediate
Intermediate level classes are suited for makers who have taken 2-3 Advanced Beginner classes in their craft, and/or have made several projects on their own, and are feeling independent in their skills. Some classes may include pre-class prep to be completed on your own. Sewing students must be comfortable threading their machines, following a seam allowance, changing presser feet, and troubleshooting minor machine issues.
Class prep: Bring a pattern (and pattern instructions that include the size chart) you would like to adjust, AND/OR bring in a garment you have made, and want to make again, but need to make adjustments on.
Supplies (not included in the cost of this class, but students will receive a 15% discount when purchased at Sew to Speak):
- 1-2 yards Tracing paper (To trace off your adjustments to your pattern, total amount dependent on your pattern)
- pencil or pen
- soft measuring tape
- pins
- paper scissors
