Start your embroidery journey here! Learn 5 stitches to make a rainbow fit for brightening any day!
In this class, students will learn how to use a hoop, thread their needle, and follow a pattern during this two-hour class. Stitches include running, back, stem, satin, and cross stitch. This class is a fun one-time activity to do with a friend or family member, or on your own, and students will go home with a finished or nearly finished project.
Ages 8-18
When choosing your class date, please note that we have two age group options available - Kids (8-13) and Teens (13-18).
Skill Level: True Beginner
No skills needed! True Beginner classes are great for beginners with no previous experience or for those who’d like to refresh their skills.

Supplies (not included, but supplies purchased at Sew To Speak will receive a 15% discount):
- 3" or 4" embroidery hoop.
- Embroidery needle (we like the bigger eye to help with threading- size 1 works great! Big quilting needles would work as well).
- ¼ of a yard of fabric (we like the weave of the Ruby and Bee, but any solid fabric will work!)
- Your choice of perle cotton colors.
- A Frixion pen or chalk pencil.
- Sharp scissors- we will have some in the shop, but there are lots of cute options!
