Cross Stitch Self-portrait w/Mallory

Create your own cross stitch self-portrait! 

Come learn the basics of cross stitch while designing your own self-portrait! We will cover the basics of cross stitch and how to design your own pattern for a self-portrait. Everyone will finish their pattern and start stitching their portrait, you will have the opportunity to finish the piece at home if not finished during class. 

Ages 18+

Skill Level: True Beginner

No skills needed! True Beginner classes are great for beginners with no previous experience or for those who’d like to refresh their skills.

Supplies (not included, but students will receive a 15% discount when purchased at Sew To Speak):

Embroidery floss – DMC 6 strand cotton Embroidery Floss is recommended:

• One skein of 6 strand embroidery floss for each item/color you would like to stitch. This includes hair, skin, eyes, clothes, etc. I would recommend having a few colors to choose from.
• 1 Skein of Black 6 strand embroidery floss is suggested. This can be useful for details like glasses, outlines, words, and extra details.
  

Supplies included in class cost:

• One 10” x 10” square of off-white size 14 Aida cloth
• One needle
• One 6” diameter hoop
