Crochet 101: Spa Towel with Madison

Learn the basics of crochet!

This class is designed for the true beginner, so come eager to learn! Students will practice their new skills as they make a super soft cotton spa cloth, perfect for any home.

In this class, students will learn how to chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch, as well as a beginner knowledge of common stitch patterns and crochet terms.

This class takes place over two 2-hour class sessions.

Ages: 18+

Class Level: True Beginner

No skills needed! True Beginner classes are great for beginners with no previous experience or for those who’d like to refresh their skills.

Class Prep:  

• Purchase supplies, and wind yarn (our Sew To Speak staff can help with this).

Supplies (not included, but students receive 15% off on all supplies purchased at Sew to Speak):

• 1 skein of Blue Sky Fibers  Organic Cotton Sport, or any 100% cotton sport weight yarn.

• US G/4 mm crochet hook

• Darning needle

• Scissors
