Cables are not as intimidating as they look-promise! Students will learn provisional cast on, how to cable, keeping track of where you are in the pattern, using a life line, and the three needle bind off.
Join Rhonda for this fun and useful skill builder. You'll be gifting ear warmers all Winter, and be ready to start your next cable project.
Ages 18+
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Advanced Beginner classes are designed as “next step” classes to build basic skills. Knitting Students must have taken Knitting 101 and/or be comfortable with casting on, knitting, and purling.

Class Prep:
- Purchase and wind yarn.
- Download and print the free pattern, Braided Cable Ear Warmer by Jessika Kalwei, here.
Supplies (not included, but students receive 15% off when you purchase supplies at Sew to Speak):
- 210 yards worsted weight yarn. We recommend 1 skein of Malabrigo Rios.
- US 8 straight or circular needles
- 1 Cable needle
- Additional Tools: Measuring tape, darning needle, scissors, locking stitch markers, stitch holder.
