Adult & Child Knitting 101 w/ Rhonda

Looking for an activity for you and your little one? Learn to knit together! Join Rhonda as she teaches the basics, while you each work on your own knit washcloth. Pick your favorite color in our Blue Sky Organic Cotton yarn and end up with a spa cloth that you made!

When purchasing, please note that one spot purchased includes a lesson for 2 students - one adult and one child. 

Class 1: Students will learn how to cast on and knit. Rhonda will give a brief orientation to all things yarn & knitting.

Class 2: Students will learn how to purl, cast off, and weave in the ends of their project. 

Adult student must be Ages 18+, and child must be Ages 8+.

Skill Level: True Beginner

No skills needed! True Beginner classes are great for beginners with no previous experience or for those who’d like to refresh their skills.

Class Prep:

• Purchase supplies, and wind yarn (we can do this part in store).

Supplies (not included, but students receive 15% off when you purchase supplies at Sew to Speak):

Each student will need the following: 

• 1 skein of Blue Sky Fibers Organic Cotton yarn, worsted weight
• US 8 / 5mm straight OR circular needles, with at least a 16" cord
• 1 darning needle
