Knitting 101: Spa Cloth w/ Rachael

Join Rachael to learn the basics of knitting!

This class is designed for the true beginner, so come eager to learn! Students will practice their new skills as they make a super soft cotton spa cloth, perfect for any home. 

In this class, students will learn how to cast on, how to create knit and purl stitches, and casting off, as well as a beginner knowledge of common stitch patterns and knitting terms. 

Ages 18+

Skill Level: True Beginner

No skills needed! True Beginner classes are great for beginners with no previous experience or for those who’d like to refresh their skills.

Class Prep:

• Purchase supplies, and wind yarn (our Sew To Speak staff can help with this).

Supplies (not included, but students receive 15% off when you purchase supplies at Sew to Speak):

• 1 skein of Blue Sky Fibers Organic Cotton Worsted, or any 100% cotton worsted weight yarn.
• US 9 / 5.5mm circular 24" or 32" bamboo knitting needles. 
• Darning needle
• Measuring tape
• Scissors

Supplies (included in the cost of this class):

• 2 closed stitch markers
• 1 locking stitch marker 
• Knitting 101: Spa Cloth pattern
