Description
If you’ve always wanted to learn to sew, then Sewing School is for you! During this course you will learn all the basics as you complete a variety of projects designed to build your sewing skills.
If you don't have a sewing machine, we have some available to borrow for this class

Age: 18+ Adults only
All supplies are available at Sew to Speak. Our helpful staff is available to assist you in finding what you need. Students receive a 15% discount on class supplies purchased at Sew to Speak
Please prewash your fabric before class.
An email will be sent out a week before class starts with instructions on what to have ready for the first class.
Supplies:
- Course book: School of Sewing: Learn it, Teach it, Sew Together by Shea Henderson (book is included in the class fee, please pick up in store)
- Supply lists for each project will be emailed to you by your instructor ahead of each class
Additional supplies for projects:
- Pillow case - 1 yard of cotton for main fabric, ½ yard of cotton of contrast fabric.
- Zipper pouch - 1 fat quarter for exterior, 1 fat quarter for lining, 1 9”all purpose zipper, ½ yard of lightweight fusible interface, zipper foot for your machine if you are bringing your own.
- Essential tote bag - 1 yard of a medium weight cotton, canvas, or corduroy for the exterior, 1 yard of cotton for lining interior, 2 yards of 1” cotton webbing for the straps.
- 1 yard of tracing paper, water soluble marking pen, matching thread for all your projects.
