Knitting 101 w/ Caitlin

Join knitting teacher Caitlin to learn the ins and outs of knitting! For your first project you will learn how to make a soft, gorgeous spa cloth. The class is broken up into two sessions, giving you plenty of time to hone your new knitting skills.  

Class 1: You will learn how to cast on and knit. Caitlin will give you a brief orientation to all things yarn & knitting.

Class 2: You will learn how to purl, cast off, and weave in the ends of your project! 

Ages 18+

Skill Level: True Beginner

No skills needed! True Beginner classes are great for beginners with no previous experience or for those who’d like to refresh their skills.

Supplies (not included, but students receive 15% off when you purchase supplies at Sew to Speak):

• 1 skein of Blue Sky Fibers Organic Cotton yarn
• 1 set of straight needles, Size 9

Included in the cost of this class: Caitlin creates a wonderful beginner’s notions kit for each student. Students will also be provided with a copy of You Will Be Able to Knit By the End of This Book by Rosie Fletcher to support your learning during and after this class.
