Attention beginners. This can be your first sewing class!
Learn some basic sewing machine features as you sew a quick and easy envelope pillow case. This introduction to sewing will get you started with all of the basic skills and more. You’ll learn how to use a rotary cutter and mat, how to stitch straight lines, and build confidence with a sewing machine. You’ll leave with a beautiful pillow to use at home and the ability to replicate it as you build your sewing skills.

- 1 1/8 yd of fabric – Quilting Cotton or Home Décor weight – Be sure to wash and dry your fabric before you arrive in class.
- One spool of coordinating thread
- One 18” x 18” pillow form
- One accent button of your choice, sample included a 2” button
Equipment (you are welcome to bring your own items, but we will have this equipment available to share):
- Sewing machine - if you have your own please bring it with you, but you can borrow a machine from Sew To Speak. Please bring your Sewing Machine manual if you have it.
