Description
Add some color to your wardrobe with this handmade crochet sweater vest! This vest is worked from the bottom up with crochet ribbing and then in a classic granny stripe pattern. We'll tackle fpdc/bpdc (you'll learn more about that in class!), decreases, working in the round, and more.
This is NOT a beginner level class. However, this would be a great first garment project for an advanced beginner/intermediate level student. This means that you should already know how to single and double crochet comfortably, and have completed some projects on your own. This is an adult only class.

Pattern: See My Vest, available for purchase here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/see-my-vest . If you don't have a Ravelry account you can purchase and print the pattern in the shop
Hook: US G / 4mm hook (or size needed to make gauge - we'll complete a gauge swatch together, before class).
Yarn: This DK weight vest could be made in a solid color, in alternating colors, or as a scrappy stashbuster of leftover project yarn. Below are the yardage amounts required for each size.
Sizes 1-3: At least 624 yards DK weight needed.
Sizes 4-7: At least 936 yards DK weight needed.
Sizes 8 & 9: At least 1248 yards DK weight needed.
To make a similar vest to our shop sample, we recommend using Brooklyn Tweed Arbor in the following amounts.
Sizes 1-3: 6 skeins total (2 main color, 4 contrast colors)
Sizes 4-7: 7 to 8 skeins total (3 main color, 4 to 5 contrast colors)
Sizes 8 & 9: 9 skeins total, (3 main color, 6 contrast colors)
Additional materials: Measuring tape, scissors, pen or pencil.
