Description

Calling all beginners! In this class we will create beautiful linen napkins. You will learn the basics of sewing with a sewing machine, how to sew a straight line, and how to make neatly finished mitered corners. You will go home with 3 handmade napkins and the skills to make many more for years to come.

Level: Ultimate Beginner. This could be your first class!

Ages 18+

Before class: - Purchase fabric from Sew to Speak - 1/2 yard Essex linen. No need to prewash your fabric!

Materials Details: (materials are not included in class cost, but students will receive a 15% discount on class supplies purchased at Sew to Speak)

- 1/2 yard Essex linen. If you would like to pick a different fabric, please contact Nat to confirm before purchasing. Fabric must be 45” wide

Students will need to bring the following supplies:
-Sewing machine (Machines are available to borrow. Please call the store ahead of time to reserve if needed).
- Scissors or rotary cutter
- Chalk or marking tool
- Sewing machine needles
- Pins or wonder clips 
- Matching thread and bobbin

Nat will send out an email to students 2 weeks before class with more details on fabric recommendations, and reminders!
