This class is for the true beginner who wants to learn the basic operation of a sewing machine. Taught by Hannah Noth. Students will complete a pillow case for their bed, while covering basic terms, learning to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, and sew a straight line. You will come away with an understanding of your machine operation, how to use seam allowance guides, and various other tips so you can feel confident to use a machine on your own.
Students are encouraged to bring their own machine if they have one. Alternately, students may use one of our classroom machines for this class. We have Juki machines that are perfect for the beginning sewer.
