Start the new year out with a new bag! The Sandhill Sling is a small, chic, one shoulder bag that is perfect for carrying your daily necessities, bringing snacks on a hike, or for travel (someday).
This zoom class will have two, 2 hour sessions, as well as an optional prep class where we will go over material choices and cutting your pattern pieces.
Skill Level: Intermediate, advanced beginner. Students should feel comfortable sewing on their machine, and have some experience measuring and cutting fabric with a rotary blade and ruler.
Materials needed:

5/8 yard Exterior Fabric

5/8 yard Lining Fabric (includes interior pocket)

1 ¼ yards (1 ½ if making fabric strap) Fusible Woven Interfacing (Pellon SF101-20”/51 cm-wide)
- (1) 18” or longer head-to-head handbag zipper* for top closure. *You can substitute a single pull closed end zipper for this.
- (1) 10” or longer handbag zipper for front pocket closure.
- 1”-wide d-ring AND 1 ½”-wide strap slider AND 1 ½”-wide swivel clasp.
- 1 ½ yards of 1 ½”-wide cotton webbing OR ADD ¼ yard to Exterior fabric requirement (1 yd total) for making a fabric strap
- All purpose thread to match your exterior fabric.
