Take your sewing to the next level by sewing a button-down collared shirt with princess seams with Jen Garvic and Loni Jakubowski. They will be teaching a 2 day shirt making immersion class with 8 hours of instruction sewing either the Harrison Shirt by Cashmerette Patterns or the Rosa Shirt by Tilly and the Buttons. This size inclusive class will accommodate sewers with bust sizes from 30 inches up to 58 inches! Bust sizes beyond 58 inches can be accommodated with pattern adjustments.
This button-down shirt sewing class will help advanced beginner and intermediate sewers progress their skills by learning about interfacing, shirt yokes, seam finishing, buttons and buttonholes, crisp collars, topstitching, sleeve plackets and ideas for customizing your own garments to your personal style. Two teachers will result in additional assistance and support for all students.
Jen and Loni co-created an Instagram sewing challenge called #letssewthistogether where they plan adventurous and community building sewing challenges throughout the year that are open to people of all backgrounds and sewing skills. They hope their Sew To Speak classes will be an extension of that community experience they have created online! Find more about Jen at www.amakerheart.com and Loni at www.havinsewmuchfun.com.
Sewing 101 or equivalent sewing experience required. This class is recommended for ages 16 and up.
