Come join the fun while learning the basic techniques of needle felting.  We will be exploring color and texture using wool roving (wool that is cleaned and carded, but not spun into yarn) and creating a landscape in this 3-hour class.  The completed project will be a 5x5" square.  We will offer two different landscape designs to choose from.  This format is perfect to mount in preexisting frames available from nearby shops such as Michaels. All felting levels welcome!

Ages: 12 and up

Supplies: Wool roving, wool batting, felting needles, foam board, wood carders and your imagination!  All supplies needed to create your project will be provided in class.  You will take home your foam board and needles to use with future projects. Class fee includes all supplies.

Teacher: Ann Clavin
Fiber has been a part of my life since learning to quilt as a young girl from my grandmother and extending into middle school home economics sewing class. I enrolled in the fiber art department at the University of New Hampshire schooled in fabric design and studying traditional weaving patterns. My family then moved to Ohio, and I continued my education at Kent State University fine art department. The stage was set for the exploration of felt. I fell in love with the feel of fibers and began to make felt which has become my primary medium.
