Description
Dip your toes into garment making with this chic, one of a kind woven shirt. Learn to personalize the 100 Acts of Sewing Shirt No. 1 with a dramatic two color front. Class will cover pattern alteration, seam finishing, hemming, and bias binding.
Prerequisites: No previous garment sewing needed, but students should be comfortable measuring and cutting fabric and sewing on a sewing machine.
This class will include an optional zoom class prep session the week prior to the class
Supplies (not included, but students receive a 15% discount on all class supplies purchased at Sew to Speak!)
- Shirt No. 1 Pattern
- 1.5 to 2.5 yards of woven fabric (cotton lawn, linen and linen blends, cotton gauze, and other non-stretch woven fabrics.) You will need the amount required in the pattern for your measurements plus an additional half yard of a contrasting color.
- Bias tape
- All purpose thread to match.
